In 2023, I was given a fictional mandate to design the concept for a mobile app and create its
prototype on Figma. From this challenge, I imagined Ventura, an outdoor sports application designed
for everyone from curious beginners to seasoned athletes. Whether you are an early morning runner, a
cycling enthusiast, a climber, or simply someone looking for new ways to stay active outdoors,
Ventura was conceived to adapt to your needs. It encourages newcomers to explore new activities
while providing valuable insights for experienced sports lovers.
The app’s core features highlight three pillars: discovery, community, and useful information. Ventura
connects users to an extensive database of outdoor spots whether a scenic hiking trail, a picturesque
running route, or a renowned climbing site helping people uncover places they might never have found
otherwise. Beyond exploration, Ventura builds a vibrant community where users can share experiences,
exchange tips, and connect with others who share the same passion. Each listed spot also comes with
practical details such as available facilities, difficulty levels, peak hours, and local weather
conditions, ensuring users are always ready for their next adventure.
In addition to UX/UI design and prototyping, I also developed Ventura’s visual identity, creating a
cohesive and recognizable branding. This project strengthened my skills in design, storytelling, and
user experience, teaching me
how to combine functionality with creativity to craft an engaging, user-centered product that brings
people together through sport and exploration.
